Son Heung-min enters the country and plays the big

Son Heung-min (32) and Tottenham players have finally arrived in Korea.
Tottenham's team, which will play the Coupang Play series, arrived at Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 at 2:35 p.m. on the 28th. Coupang Play livestreamed the arrival site.

With Daniel Levy as the head coach, Enze Postecoglou appeared. When Son Heung-min appeared, fans cheered as if the airport was leaving. Son Heung-min shared a large Korean flag with Ben Davies, Yves Bissouma and Archie Gray for a commemorative photo.

Then, Son waved his hands to the fans one by one and bowed his head to the fans before leaving the airport. Rookie players including Lucas and Veribal moved to the scene as if they were surprised by the hot weather at the scene.

Seven Tottenham players are absent from Tottenham's Asia (Japan-Korea) tour. Rodrigo Bentancourt, who played for Uruguay in the Copa America 2024, and Giovanni Roselso, Christian Romero, and Mickey Vanderben, who participated in the Euro 2024, were excluded for rest. Sergio Reguilon and Brian Hill were excluded because they are likely to move this summer. Frazier Foster, the goalkeeper, will also suffer from an injury.

Instead of missing several key players, a large number of newcomers such as Veribal, Gray, and Taris Hall were included.

Tottenham defeated Vissel Kobe of the Japanese J-League 3-2 in a pre-season friendly match held at the Tokyo National Stadium on Sunday. Japan also showed keen interest in Son. Starting as the front-line striker, Son helped Tottenham come from behind with a simple right-footed shot at the third minute of the second half when the score was 1-1. He then showed his signature click ceremony to Japanese fans. When he was substituted for Manor Solomon in the 15th minute of the second half, Japanese spectators gave a round of applause to Son.
Son also responded to Japanese fans' interest with active fan service. More than 50,000 spectators attended the stadium. Tottenham's official social network service showed Son greeting fans around the stadium after the game. The crowd cheered as Son waved his hands and smiled.

Meanwhile, Tottenham will stay in Seoul for about a week. It will play the first round of the Coupang Play Series against Team K League at Seoul World Cup Stadium on Aug. 31. It will then play the second round against Bayern Munich (Germany), where Kim Min-jae belongs, on Aug. 3.

Prior to his departure for Korea, Tottenham posted on his SNS account, "The experience in Japan was amazing. I am grateful for the hospitality," adding, "We are going home to Korea soon. I can't wait to meet and enjoy Korean fans."
